THOMAS WEIGEL: ABOUT THE ARTIST

Thomas Weigel is a Boston-based artist and psychiatrist who began painting six years ago as a form of therapy. It was during his psychoanalytic training and, in particular, his own personal analysis, that he started to explore and express his feelings through paint on canvas.

His work is a visual rendering of basic human emotions-fear, jealousy, joy, love, rage. Each canvas represents the struggle to unbind oneself from the turmoil within.

Weigel's most recent exhibit is an expression of his innermost thoughts, emotions, passions expressed through bursts of color and sweeping brush strokes.
